The types of volunteering activities we do

Volunteering to create a leaky dam to slow the flow of water through the catchment

Leaky dam creation

Leaky dam creation

Leaky dams are wooden structures in a watercourse that help to slow the flow of water, holding it back and helping to reduce downstream flood risk.

Trees store water, carbon and provide homes for wildlife, what's not to love! Each year from November to April we undertake tree planting with our volunteers.

A farm wetland filtering pollutants from yard runoff

Wetland planting

Wetlands store water and filter out pollutants from the water before they reach the watercourse. Sometimes we need a helping hand to ensure our urban wetlands support a diverse range of plant species.

Volunteers collect rubbish at Knott-End beach

Beach Cleans
